Amsler Grid
The Amsler Grid is a way of "self-checking" yourself for any changes that might be occuring in the center part of the retina, the macula.
Use your Amsler Grid twice a week. Tape it to your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, or another convenient place. Test one eye at a time, with your glasses.
Memorize how the grid looks for each eye--if lines start to become wavy that were not wavy before, or if boxes start to go missing, call our office to arrange a visit.
